I remember this shot well. I’d been sat in the hide since before dawn. The sun rose, and as it did so the temperature above the loch rose resulting in the formation of mist. Just as the mist began to turn a golden colour from the sunlight, so an osprey dived for a fish. Unfortunately I missed the dive, it was behind a small island in the middle of the loch. However once the bird left the water it emerged with its wings backlit against the golden sky. I fired off a couple of shots, and managed to get this one.
